Fat free french fries (chips)

For many people chips or french fries are a staple acompaniment to meals, but when you're trying to lose weight they have to be banned. Not any more. These scrummy no fat chips are a delight can be eaten on a daily basis without guilt!

Ingredients

1/2 butternut squash
salt

Method

Pre-heat oven to 425*f, 200*c gas mark 6. 

Peel and de-seed the butternut squash (you'll need a sharp knife to cut them). 

Slice it in half and cut it into french fry shapes. You can use a crinkle cutter if you like, but they'll work any way you slice 'em. 

Place on a cookie sheet (baking tray) sprayed with non-stick spray. 

Cover lightly with salt. 

Place tray in your pre-heated oven and bake for 40 minutes or so, turning halfway through the baking time. 

Fries are done when they start to brown and go crispy on the edges.

Serve with ketchup or salt and vinegar
