Eggy bread

Everyone should eat eggy bread at least once in their lives and preferably more often! It's a great snack on its own but you can use your imagination and serve with anything.

Ingredients (per person)

One egg

Two slices of bread
Salt and pepper
Dash of worcestershire sauce (if liked)
Butter or marge for frying

Method

Beat the egg and pour onto a plate

Lie each slice of bread in the egg in turn, flipping over to make sure the egg has soaked into the bread all the way through on both sides.

The bread should guzzle up the egg very quickly so make sure you don't leave the first slice in for too long or there'll be none left for the next.

Fry in hot fat. If the bread doesn't sizzle when it goes in, your fat's not hot enough.

Remove when lightly brown on both sides.

Delicious!
